Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel
On March 7, 2025, I finally visited Notre-Dame Bon-Secours Chapel, a place I had been putting off for some time. The current structure was rebuilt in 1771 after suffering damage from a fire.
The photo above shows the interior of the chapel. When I entered, there were a few people, likely tourists, taking pictures. The chapel was more beautiful than I had expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The ceiling and walls were adorned with what seemed to be artistic works. Of course, it wasn’t as large as a typical grand cathedral.
The photo above shows the ceiling. Religious paintings were symmetrically arranged across the surface.
The two photos above capture the side walls. The stained-glass windows were all filled with vibrant, religious artworks, which left a strong impression.
The photo above shows the altar located on the right side at the front of the chapel.
The photo above shows the central rear section of the chapel.
The photo above was taken from inside the chapel, facing the main entrance. An organ was visible on the second floor, and a beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling.
